Tourist bus or short flight to Pokhara.
2Fly to Jomsom, trek to Kagbeni
Fly the Kali Gandaki gorge and walk to the gateway of Upper Mustang.
3Kagbeni to Chele
Enter the restricted zone through red sandstone cliffs.
4Chele to Syangboche
Cross Ekle Bhatti pass with views over the desert valley.
5Syangboche to Ghami
Passes, mani walls and the old caves of Ghami.
6Ghami to Tsarang
Climb to the red gompa fortress of Tsarang.
7Tsarang to Lo Manthang
Approach the walled capital through the Mustang wind.
8Lo Manthang exploration
Visit the palace, Jampa Lhakhang and the endless wall.
9Lo Manthang day hike
Hike to Chhoser cave village and the Ghar gompa.
10Lo Manthang to Drakmar
Return journey toward the Kali Gandaki.
11Drakmar to Geling
Descend through the spectacular Drakmar gorge.
12Geling to Kagbeni
Final day of trekking back to the gateway village.
13Kagbeni to Jomsom, fly to Pokhara
Morning walk and flight to Pokhara.
